  • When is registration open?

    Spring registration opens on the first Friday in December and closes on January 31.


    Fall registration opens on the first Friday in May and closes on June 30.


    Late registration or waitlists may be available if roster space allows.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Parents/Guardians may request a refund by emailing info@yysl.soccer. YYSL will issue refunds up to $100 for requests submitted before the close of regular registration.


    Requests submitted after registration closes will be considered at the discretion of the League President.


    Jersey fees will be refunded only if the player has not yet received a jersey.

  • Does the league offer scholarships?

    Yes. YYSL offers a limited number of scholarships each season to families in need.


    To request a scholarship, please email the League President.

  • Which division is my player in?

    Please refer to the Division Matrix on our website to determine your player's division.

  • Can I register my player for a different division?

    YYSL recommends players register in their age-appropriate division.


    Requests to play up will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Please register first, then email the League with your request.

  • Can I request a specific team or coach?

    Division Commissioners use registration information to form teams.


    Special requests or accommodations cannot be guaranteed.

  • When and where are practices held?

    Practices are held at Cousler Park, Dallastown Area elementary schools, and York Township fields. Field availability may vary by season.


    Teams typically practice once per week for one hour between 5:00–8:00 p.m.

  • When and where are games held?

    Games are played on Saturdays. Times and locations vary based on field availability.

    • Spring games begin the first Saturday in April.
    • Fall games begin the Saturday after Labor Day.
  • Who are the YYSL coaches?

    All YYSL coaches are volunteers. Some have years of experience, while others are new to coaching.


    As our league grows, we are always looking for volunteers. If you are interested in coaching, please email the League.

  • Are there volunteer opportunities besides coaching?

    Yes! We welcome volunteers for events, fundraisers, and Board positions.

  • What equipment does my player need?

    Players must wear shin guards (covered by soccer socks) and soccer cleats for all practices and games.


    A YYSL jersey is required for games. A soccer ball and water bottle are recommended for practice.

  • What size soccer ball does my player need?

    • 6U & 8U: Size 3
    • 11U: Size 4
    • 14U & 18U: Size 5
  • Do I need to purchase a jersey each season?

    No. Jerseys only need to be replaced if they no longer fit or are in poor condition.

  • How can I purchase a jersey?

    Jerseys can be purchased during registration.


    If you need a jersey after registration closes, email the Equipment Manager with the player's name, team, and jersey size to arrange pickup.


    A $40 jersey fee will be applied to the credit card on file.

  • Which jersey should my player wear?

    The home team wears lime.


    The away team wears black.

  • How will I receive Field updates?

    If fields are closed, notifications will be sent via email and posted on Facebook

    • by 4:00 p.m. on weekdays
    • by 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays

    If you do not receive a notification, the fields are open.


    We are unable to respond to individual inquiries about cancellations.
